We have all, at some point of time in our lives, seen construction worker’s children covered wit dirt and loitering close to dangerous machines. They have never seen schools in their lives and lack basic nutrition as their parents strive to earn their basic bread. We have been to tea stalls, and been served by scantily clad, undernourished children. Have we ever wondered why that child was deprived, when we were not? Why he didn’t get to go to school and we did? Why it was a dream for him to visit the zoo, and was a part of our growing-up? Is the measure of our success - “status” in society and our bank balances? Are we living in a society, which does not want to look beyond? Do we not owe back to the society, what we got from it? Do we not owe the millions of people who toil hard, so we can be comfortable in our homes? At Sparsh-Ek Prayatna, we believe, We Do, and We Will.

Sparsh-Ek Prayatna was formed in 2006. We have since then, come a long way –fully operational schools and healthcare centers at construction sites across various Indian cities, a team of street play theatre artists, vocational training programs for non earning members of construction worker’s families, legal aid camps by eminent lawyers from High Court and supreme Court, clothes distribution and onation drives for Kashmiri migrants are examples of what we do. Sparsh-Ek Prayatna is an expression of the youth, giving a new meaning to social responsibility. 

We aim at an overall growth of one of the most underprivileged sector of Indian society – construction workers. Come join us in our efforts. We promise you million-dollar smiles from small children, to take home as earnings for life. In our journey so far, we have met people from all walks of life, helping us and inspiring us to go that extra mile. We could not have achieved, what we have, without the support and contribution of all those who have helped us come so far. The enthusiasm of our volunteers has only increased over the years, and we all continuously strive to achieve greater heights. We wish to keep this fire burning forever…
